Project description

The project seek to create a collaboration project of educators and organizations who are involved
in learning process of adults with disabilities.

The general aim of this project is to promote the inclusive formal and non-formal learning for persons with disabilities (PD). Thus can be achieved throw the development of General guidelines for educators and Specific guidelines for educators regarding adults with visual and hearing impairments that makes more inclusive educational activities possible.

The key word for this aim is “inclusive education” meaning that, students with special needs spend most or all of their time with non-disabled students. That means, that they are most ready for daily life, and challenges in society as well as they are more adapted for open work market, are active citizens and have more opportunities for motivation and growing up as an important part of “the good life” and „Lifelong Learning”.

Programme objectives

The project support adult education and learning to meet the challenges of modern citizenship

Still too many persons with disability are isolated in segregated learning milieus. To meet the challenges of modern citizenship they have to be in an inclusive learning milieu as well as persons without disability has to be together with persons with disability.

The Project idea is to develop the abilities of organizations in the area of inclusive education (both non- formal and formal adults with disabilities education).

This implies:

  • to develop guidelines for educators which focuses how to provide inclusive training programs for adults with disabilities
  • to develop methodologies and management skills for stakeholders how to provide inclusive education for adults with disabilities
  • to present the results on national conferences

Target group: educational arenas like organizations, institutions who support the education for persons with disabilities. The project activities will share and develop new courses and methods with the aim to promote and improve inclusive education for adults with disabilities.

Main results will be:

  • A collection of actual best practice in inclusive education in the partners country.
  • A catalogue over obstacles (pedagogical, financial, attitude between disabled and non-disabled etc.) and suggestions have to reduce these obstacles.
  • General guidelines for inclusive education.
  • Specific examples of guidelines for inclusive education for persons with visual impairments and persons with hearing problems.
  • Specific training programmes for teachers to inclusive education for persons with visual impairments and persons with hearing problems.
  • A leaflet to make the results more accessible and implementable.

The results of the project will be accessible on the project website www.b-inclusive.net – and the project will present the results on a final conference.
